Getting There:
Getting There: By Air Caticlan Airport is a smaller airport 5 – 10 minutes from Boracay. There are domestic flights from Manila and Cebu. A motorized tricycle will take you to the Jetty Port, less than five (5) minutes away. This is definitely the preferred airport for ease and convenience. Due to the small size of the runway, smaller turboprop airplanes are used. The 3 airlines that fly into Caticlan Airport are: • SEAIR • Air Philippines • Cebu Pacific Kalibo Airport is a larger airport 90 minutes from Boracay. This airport that has some international flights, and accommodates larger Airplanes. • How to get to Boracay from Kalibo/Caticlan Airport • Upon arrival in Kalibo, air-conditioned vans and buses for hire are readily available to take you to Caticlan and would take 1 ½ to 2 hours to get there and would cost you Php 350.00 per person. • Caticlan Port to Boracay Port – From Caticlan Port, you will take the bangka ride to Boracay Island Port (Cagban Beach). This is a 20 minute boat trip, and boats depart frequently in both directions all day. The Jetty Port has Bangka pump boats that ferry between the Caticlan mainland and Boracay Island from Sunrise to Sunset. There are sometimes ferries after dark, but not reliably so. The Bangka trip is Php 25.00. However non-residents also pay a Php 75.00 for the Environmental Fee, and a Php 50.00 for the Terminal Fee. You need to get these tickets outside the Jetty Port before you enter. The trip from mainland to the island is 20 minutes. If you have heavy luggage, there are porters to assist you at Php 25.00 per item tip but it also depends on how heavy your luggage is. • Boracay Port to The Palms of Boracay – Depending on the season, you will arrive at one of two Boracay Ports – Cagban Port in the High Season and Tambisaan Port in the Low Season. You will need to take a tricycle from Cagban to Sinagpa (10-20 minutes @ Php 200.00 per tricycle). The distance from either Port to The Palms of Boracay is about 10 – 20 minutes. There will be a long line of tricycles to take you from the port to The Palms of Boracay. This trip is approximately Php 200.00 per tricycle. Upon arriving at the hotel, our bellman will be very happy to assist you with your luggage’s. • The whole trip from the mainland to your resort should be less than an hour, and the route is very standard. Just follow the tourists. There are plenty of porters to help you with heavy baggage.
